Keep Your Children's Brains Active at Home

If finding blocks of time to sit down and help your children learn is a challenge for you, there are ways that you can directly influence their learning that don't require these periods of time. For this post, The Tutoring Center, Humble has a few ways that you can help your child learn without long periods of study time.

Fridge Scrabble

Helping your child expand their vocabulary  is one of the best ways that you can directly and positively influence their knowledge expansion. Head to your local game store and pick up a packet of magnetic scrabble pieces. If you find that you arrive home late in the evening after your children have gone to bed, make your turn ready for them in the morning.

Equations, Everywhere!

Head to your local dollar store and pick up some small marker-boards that you can hang around your home. When your kids are out, write new equations or exam questions on them, with a small reward for whoever in the house solves it first! If they are learning something particularly well through tutoring in Humble, focus the questions or math problems on those areas to really boost their learning.

Hey, Mum/Dadcan I Please Have?

If you hear this phrase a lot, or similar, consider it a teaching opportunity. Each time your child asks for something, whether it be a snack or a ride to the mall, get them to complete a quick test question first.
